Church Without Walls

At The Church Without Walls in Inverness, Florida, they adhere to a set of beliefs grounded in the timeless truths of the Bible. At the core of their faith is a firm belief in the one true God, as revealed in the Scriptures. God, the eternal and sovereign Creator of the universe, exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Their faith centers on Jesus Christ, who they believe was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for humanity's sins, and rose again, triumphing over sin and death. As the only mediator between God and humanity, Jesus is revered as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

The Holy Spirit, they assert, is a comforting presence and guide for every believer, empowering them to live according to God's will. Through the Spirit's indwelling, believers receive spiritual understanding, guidance, and empowerment for living a life that honors God.

Salvation, they emphasize, is a gift of God's grace, freely given to those who place their faith in Jesus Christ. This salvation is not earned through good deeds but received through faith and confession in Christ as Lord and Savior.

Central to their beliefs is the authority of the Bible, which they regard as the inspired Word of God, applicable to all aspects of life.

Recognizing humanity's inherent value as beings created in God's image, they acknowledge the universal need for salvation due to sin. Yet, they affirm that God's grace extends to all, offering forgiveness and transformation through Christ.

As part of the body of Christ, they view the Church as a community of believers called to worship, serve, and share the Gospel. Baptism and communion, practiced in accordance with biblical teachings, serve as visible symbols of their faith and unity in Christ.

Ultimately, they affirm that every individual is uniquely created by God for His purpose and is deeply loved by Him. Their mission as a church is to love God wholeheartedly, grow in faith, serve others, and spread the message of salvation to the world.

For over 21 years, The New Church Without Walls International has been actively involved in various charitable endeavors, including providing food, shelter, and support to those in need locally and globally. Their commitment to serving others reflects their dedication to living out the teachings of Christ and sharing His love with the world.

Shepard of the Hills Episcopal Church

Shepard of the Hills Episcopal Church

2540 W Norvell Bryant Hwy,

Lecanto, FL 34461

At Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Lecanto, they trace their beginnings to a small gathering of 30 individuals who began worshiping in an office at Amsouth Bank in Beverly Hills, Florida, back in 1993. Officially chartered on December 5, 1994, with 47 members, Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church was warmly received into the Diocese of Central Florida during the Diocesan convention on January 28, 1995.

The church's journey continued to unfold as they purchased a small stone office building in the summer of 1995, relocating their worship service. In 1998, they acquired an adjacent parcel of land, laying the foundation for a new church building. This new sanctuary was consecrated on April 21, 2002. Over time, as the congregation grew, they expanded further, purchasing additional land and constructing the current church building, which was consecrated in March of 2011.

Celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2020, Good Shepherd Episcopal Church has experienced remarkable growth, blossoming from a small group into a congregation of over 300 members. With gratitude for their journey thus far, they eagerly anticipate welcoming even more individuals into their community in the years ahead.

Their beliefs are firmly rooted in the Christian faith, affirming the authority of the entire Bible, the Trinity, and the practice of sacraments such as Holy Communion and Baptism. Guided by tradition, reason, and Scripture, they navigate their spiritual journey, anchored in the timeless truths proclaimed in the Nicene Creed and the Apostle's Creed. At Good Shepherd Episcopal Church, they are committed to following God's word and spreading His love to all who seek Him.

Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox

Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church

4705 W Gulf to Lake Hwy, Lecanto, FL 34461

At the Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, an increasing number of individuals from diverse backgrounds are discovering the ancient faith and rich traditions of the Orthodox Church. Drawn by the mystical vision of God and His Kingdom, the beauty of worship, the purity of Christian faith, and the continuity with the past, they find treasures beyond measure within the Church, which boasts a history reaching back to the time of the Apostles.

Embodying the spiritual riches of Eastern Christianity, the Orthodox Church holds a unique place in the religious tapestry. The Gospel of Christ was first preached and Christian communities established in the lands surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, nurturing the faith against the backdrop of paganism and heresy. The Eastern regions of the old Roman Empire witnessed the maturation of Christianity, with great Fathers shaping its theology and the Seven Ecumenical Councils defining its doctrines.

Distinct from its Western counterpart, Eastern Christianity emphasizes the Resurrection of Christ and the deification of man, fostering a mystical theology and a holistic view of salvation. While the Western Church developed within the legal and moral framework of Ancient Rome, the Eastern Church flourished amidst Semitic and Hellenistic cultures. Despite their differences, the two traditions coexisted for centuries until the Great Schism separated them.

Orthodox Christians, as they call themselves, uphold the "true teaching" and "true praise" of the Church, maintaining the faith without error and glorifying God as their fundamental purpose. United in the belief of the fullness of the Christian faith and the universality of the Church, they embrace diverse cultural expressions within their worship.

In the Western Hemisphere, the Orthodox Church has flourished for over two centuries, thanks to the dedication of immigrants from Greece, Russia, the Middle East, and the Balkans. Carrying their precious heritage to America, they laid the foundation for a vibrant Orthodox presence. While rooted in various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, Orthodoxy in the United States transcends immigrant identities, welcoming all who seek the truth.

With approximately 1 million Orthodox Christians in the country, the Church comprises numerous ecclesiastical jurisdictions, each preserving its customs while united in faith. From the ancient Church of Constantinople to the burgeoning Church of America, diversity thrives within the unity of Orthodox Christianity, bearing witness to the timeless truths of the Gospel.

It's been remarkable to witness how God has called the congregation of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church to serve the needs of the surrounding community, drawing people from near and far states. When they gathered for their inaugural worship service at the Hernando Art League in November 1984, discussions about constructing a church building were already underway, fueled by dreams and growing attendance.

The congregation eagerly rose to the challenge. With a lot purchased on Hwy. 486, plans began to materialize, culminating in the dedication of a beautiful church building to the glory of God on March 13, 1988.

As the years passed, their ministry expanded, prompting the need for additional space. Blessed with Phase II of their church complex in October 1996, the new addition not only accommodated their growing ministries but also provided a venue for non-profit groups serving the community in alignment with Christ's teachings.

Further renovations in November 2011 expanded the Sanctuary and multipurpose building, while subsequent projects in 2015 enhanced their beautiful stained glass windows and renovated the kitchen in 2019, now fully operational.

As they look to the future, they rejoice in the Lord's goodness and eagerly welcome all to experience the blessings bestowed upon their congregation. To learn more about joining their community, interested individuals are encouraged to contact Pastor Koch or the church office at 352-746-7161.
