Davis Reserve Pool Plans Change "Engineering Constraints change pool design" and "Construction to Begin in May."
Pool Plans have changed do to permitting, zoning and engineering constraints.

On March 27th, 2025, The Villages of Citrus Hills had a town hall-style meeting to update social members on the Davis Reserve Pool Project and Rockwood Park renovations. Attorney Cyle Moses, general attorney for the developer and HOA president of Terra Vista and Anthony Lambert, club general manager, held the meeting with a packed hall with a standing room only crowd. They were excited to announce the upcoming changes and plans for Davis Reserve and Rockwood Park.

Mr. Lambert started the meeting with developments and changes to the pool plan in Davis Reserve. He explained that three tiered pool, as the developer and his team envisioned, is not feasible. Mr. Moses stated, (about the artist's rendering of the infinity pool) "It was very ambitious and bold." Mr. Moses explained that the plans for the pool have changed because they were met with the real world practicality of building such a pool. They have had permitting barriers, code changes, and engineering constraints. The three tiered pool plan with an infinity edge does not meet the code requirements of having a 8 ft walkway in between pools. This effectively forces building 3 separate pools and was not what was envisioned. The plan for the new pool will continue to be bold. Mr. Moses said, "We took the savings that we realized on that pool and reinvested it into the amenity. So what we have with that investment is - a state of the art clubhouse, extended deck...(for entertainment out there), pickleball ...courts in Davis Reserve, a dog park across the street, and outdoor fitness area." The developer has budgeted about 7 million dollars to make a beautifully integrated pool that will last and that everyone will be proud of.

April 1, 2025, the Club is going to close Rockwood park in order to begin construction of the new amenities. There will be a temporary Dog Park and Bocci courts at the activity center while construction begins at Rockwood Park. The Club recognizes how important the bocci leagues and courts are, as well as the dog park and want to provide temporary amenities during the construction.

The walking trails from Hunt Club to Lake Marie will remain open. The walking trail off of DiMaggio will be closed to members. "We are trying to be as mindful as we can to the homeowners that live over there. And we are trying to make the project come together as fast as we can," said Anthony Lambert. The club will be investing about $7 million dollars into the Rockwood Park transformation.

Davis Reserve is scheduled to start within the next 30 days. Citrus Hills is looking to build a small dog park, and pickleball courts in Davis Reserve and an unbelievable outdoor workout area. They are looking to have out door tai chi in the open space there. According to Mr. Lambert, "The club is different,... to keep our product relevant... be cutting edge and have these facilities that everybody can be proud of. ... We are providing avenues for you to have more enjoyment." The club has a vision for the future. They regret that they could not construct the three-tier infinity pool that they envisioned, but have redirected the money to create more activities and additional facilities for social members.
